历史沿革[edit]
社区的前身是1987年开平县水井镇设立的水井墟管理区，开平撤县设市后仍归水井镇，1999年改组为社区居民委员会；水井镇并入月山镇之后，转归月山镇管辖。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
水井片区有万隆客栈革命纪念馆，被用作江门市的党员教育基地和中共党史学习教育基地；水井墟的庙仔山上立有水井革命烈士纪念碑，开平市将其列为爱国主义教育基地。[2]
