簕竹村位于开平市月山镇，村民委员会辖6条自然村、11个村民小组，登记人口2416人、669户，耕地1940亩。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名是因村委会靠山一带长有不少野生簕竹。清代隶开平县古博都，民国年间划归第十区月山乡，1963年为月山公社簕竹大队，1984年改乡人民政府，1989年改管理区；1993年撤县设市后归开平市月山镇，到1999年定名簕竹村民委员会。^[1]

2017年10月获第一批广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。^[1]
