历史沿革[edit]
横江的建制变动较多。1950年它同白马、共和并为一个横江乡；1951年12月划入惠阳县第十四区，区府在三洲；1958年成了大队，1963年2月起归新庵公社。白马、共和在1962年、1976年两次分出，1965年又一度并回，1984年共和改与横江合并。直到1987年3月，据惠东府函〔1987〕14号文称村委，1989年称管理区，1998年定名横江村委会。[1][2]
经济与荣誉[edit]
山瑶柑是该村的特色产品，2021年9月它进入广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]此外，2023年11月入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村，2024年4月进入乡村振兴示范村创建名单，2025年3月获「第七届全国文明村镇」命名。[1]

温泉在村里的扶圳村民小组，天然泉眼二十余处，平均水温51摄氏度。[3]
