南华村是杏坛镇西南部的行政村，距镇中心城区约6公里，占地3.19平方千米，9个村小组，户籍人口4267人[1]。明代后期有垦荒者陆续迁来成村，因在光华村之南得名，曾用名放牛塱[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，随后1950年属滩南乡，其后1952年属丰富乡，之后1954年成立南华乡，再后1962年与安富合并称南华大队，接着1976年与安富分设，随后1999年成立村委会[1]。
