历史沿革[edit]
共同一带古时分为红梅片和东江片；1968年两片合并，统称共同。1983年成立共同乡，1987年为共同村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1999年再设村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]据村情材料，村名的由来是：1968年后，以东江、西江两条河流的分水线为界，原先分开的两片统归一个乡政府管理，称为共同。[1]
经济[edit]
村里除荔枝、龙眼外，还种北运菜和四季豆等短期作物；荔枝是特色收入。据村情材料，上一年全村经济总收入为2450万元，村村通路基本实现。[1]
