右滩村是杏坛镇西部的行政村，在杏坛镇西面，路程8.2公里，处于顺德、南海、新会、鹤山的交界点，西临西江干流，北临甘竹溪，占地6.04平方千米，户籍人口3371人[1]。宋代已有先民迁居，因在甘竹滩右边而名右滩，曾用名甘竹滩、竹园[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网转录的资料，1908年（光绪三十四年）时，村在顺德县第七区甘竹右滩，随后1950年属滩南乡，其后1954年成立右滩乡，之后1999年经批准设立右滩村[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
黄氏大宗祠于2002年确定为省级文物保护单位[1]。右滩是明代状元黄士俊的家乡[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2023年4月，右滩村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；再后2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
