吉祐村是杏坛镇西北部的行政村，北临顺德支流，距镇中心城区6.5公里，占地3.82平方千米，9个村民小组，户籍人口2960人[1]。南宋时黄姓人先迁入，原称吉溪，后以吉祥保佑之意改名吉祐[1]。村内有麦孟华、麦仲华兄弟的故居[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网转录的资料，南宋时黄姓先到，其后麦、梁、左、郭、廖、李、张等姓陆续迁入[1]。1950年属登云乡，随后1952年属吉水乡，其后1958年成立吉祐大队，之后1968年一度称东方红大队，后复原，再后1998年改称村委会[1]。2024年8月列入「佛山市“百千万工程”第二批典型镇村」，接着2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
麦孟华、麦仲华故居在爱日名关二巷4号，是兄弟二人祖辈居住之所，现仅存大厅一座，硬山顶，龙舟脊，镬耳山墙[1]。
