西沟村在汕头市潮南区峡山街道西部，因村寨在峡山大溪支流之西而名，村民大多姓林；嘉靖年间（1522—1566年），祖先正顺公自惠来县隆江镇见龙村迁来。2023年5月获评「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1][2]

概况[edit]

全村629户、4270人，旅居新加坡、马来西亚、泰国及香港的乡亲近四千人；辖区1200多亩，耕地197亩。雕刻、腌制、豆腐是村里的传统手艺。[2]

1997年村里开办占地三十多亩的西沟农副产品批发市场，工业小区有四十家企业做针织、服装、文胸、珠饰等。2020至2022年上榜淘宝村名单。[2][1]
