全村660户、3900人，耕地300亩，山林1814亩，有十多栋现代楼房，另有史志有载的四座大祖祠。企业以塑料、印染、服装织造为主，另有28家作坊。[1]
据百度百科，村庄地势平坦，是街道最低洼的区域，大雨易涝，省水利厅把它定为山洪灾害防范点；村创于明永乐元年（1403年）。[2]
