地名与人口[edit]
村地势低洼，四周溪流环绕，如水中小岛，称“华渚”；桥两端常积水，行人涉水过桥，也叫下桥，后美称华桥。[1]
截至2009年底，全村1165户、6889人。南风村731户、4442人，埔头村200户、1139人，均为胡姓；上陇村134户、751人，庄姓；港内村100户、557人，陈姓。耕地1239亩。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
华桥村胡氏祖祠建于明初1397年，占地1770平方米，1999年被列为峡山镇文物保护单位。[2]
经济[edit]
改革开放后，南风村村民引进注塑机，加工梳子等塑料制品，以工带贸。百度百科另载，当地在村内实施了中国家居服专业采购基地及留用地项目。[2][3]
