概况[edit]
全村536户、3101人，辖区980亩，耕地631亩，2009年工农业总产值845万元。1995年华侨集资建成约40亩的莲塘学校，2003年底建成长1.2公里的村道，并形成工业小区，有5家企业、12家家庭作坊，生产酒店旅游用品、塑料珠饰和针织品。[2]
