历史沿革[edit]
东林村1951年至1984年是东林大队；1984年3月，几个大队合并成东林乡；1987年2月起称管理区办事处，1989年定为管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
传统村落[edit]
东林村在2012年12月进入「第一批中国传统村落」名录[1][2]，同年5月又入选「第三批广东省历史文化名镇名村」[1]。
