桃陈社区在汕头市潮南区峡山街道，324国道南侧，居民姓陈。溪流蜿蜒、岸边多桃树，古称“桃溪”，居民为陈姓，因称“桃溪陈”，简称桃陈。村民世代以打锡箔为业，2017年10月获评第一批广东省卫生村。[1][2]
锡箔手艺[edit]
社区的传统手艺是打锡箔，据百度百科自明代末年起传承四百多年，制品薄而匀，主要用于喷金和装饰。博雅地名网载，产品除内销外远销东南亚；1990年代起锡箔加工渐衰，村民转而办服装厂，农业以种菜为主。[2][1]
现状[edit]
辖区约220亩，2009年有247户、1615人，工农业总产值928万元，人均年收入4808元。百度百科称社区是汕头市第一个实现全村源头截污、雨污分流的村居。[1][2]
