潮东村在汕头市潮南区峡山街道北部、练江以南，由潮美、杉铺、村头三个社组成，先祖从华桥迁来。因村在华桥之东，地势偏低，常遭潮水灌入而得名。2020至2022年上榜淘宝村名单，2023年4月入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后几经分合：先并入华溪乡、华桥乡，1962年归陇美大队，1975年自成潮东大队，1999年起称潮东村。百度百科记村始建于明弘治八年（1495年）。[2][3]

现状[edit]

全村412户、2308人，耕地380亩，2009年工农业产值2752万元。村中有古式的“三座落”“四厅会”“四点金”“下山虎”，以及占地10亩的佛祖庙，村里有15家企业做工艺品、喷漆、塑胶制品，拥有广东省著名商标2个。[2]
