莘田村是广州市花都区花东镇东部的行政村，与白云区钟落潭镇交界，面积约6平方千米，下辖14个经济社，村委会介绍的总人口为3500余人（未注明年份），离花东镇约12公里，地处丘陵[1]。
地名由来与沿革[edit]
明末，庾氏从河南莘野迁到广东，为纪念故乡取名莘田；此处原有七个小岗，曾叫七星岗。1949年村分东西两村，靠东的仍叫莘田村，西面的后来称莘田二村[1][2]。
1987年设村委会，隶属北兴镇；2005年2月归花东镇[1]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
村里招商引资办企业，并有鱼塘养殖和养猪[1]。2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2024年11月认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」[1]。
