坑口村位于竹高垅山脚下，东与岭完村、溪畔村为邻，西侧与下店村大元弄自然村相邻，南临302省道，北与岩辟下相接。村庄四周群山环绕，地处山坑之口，因而得名坑口。全村辖程坑、坑口、古油三个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地最早见于宋代，那时归崇仁乡庆原里十五都；民国时期为古油保，属祖墩乡。1958年划入东风公社祖墩大队，1961年改属坑口公社，设坑口大队；1966年又归祖墩公社，仍称坑口大队；1984年恢复乡制，大队改为村。[1]

文化[edit]

坑口村于2015年10月列入福建省第一批省级传统村落名单；2023年10月，村庄入选2023年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单。[1]
