大坑村隶属延平区塔前镇，位于镇域西北部，距南平市区45公里。村前南北两侧各有一条水沟，在一座石板桥处交汇，形如「大」字，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368）此地隶云盖里，清顺治十四年（1657）仍然如此。1934年改属第六区，1936年改属第一区，1941年隶第一区鸠洋乡，称大坑保。1952年自夏道一区分出，改属第十区，设大坑乡；1956年改属夏道区。1958年归东方红（夏道）公社，1961年改归土堡公社，1984年设土堡乡，1989年隶塔前乡，1993年改属塔前镇。[1]
