坑口村位于金井镇政府驻地以南约3公里处，在围头半岛西侧，省道308线从村中穿过[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期归泉州南门外十四都。民国33年（1944年）编入金井镇海边保，1956年归金井镇山海乡管辖，1961年改称金井公社坑口大队，1984年起为金井镇坑口村委会[1][2]。

地理环境[edit]

村委会辖坑口、南埕、埕边、刘宅四个自然村，共16个村民小组[2]。村中所产花岗岩主要出口欧洲和东南亚[2]。

经济[edit]

村中以种植甘薯、花生、蔬菜为主，并有对虾养殖，企业以服装、玩具、拉链为主[2]。

文化[edit]

村中设有老人活动中心、青少年活动中心、小学一所和幼儿园一所[2]。
