竹山村位于湖头镇。境内有山，山中竹林成片，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地归修仁乡来苏里；1946年（民国35年）属清溪镇。1984年，竹山改为湖头乡竹山村；1987年乡改镇，名称定为湖头镇竹山村，并设村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

湖头振美大厝为县级文物保护单位，建筑属古建筑类。竹山冶铁场位于村内炉内一带，为宋代古遗址，也是县级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[1]
