扬名水村是石颈镇东北部的行政村，离镇政府约11公里，辖18条自然村，办事处设在河背村西面。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
起初是1963年的扬名水大队，其后依次改作扬名水乡（1983年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年），1998年重新称村委会。[1]
据博雅地名网，村前小溪流出的水呈黄色，原名黄芒水；嘉庆十八年村人林之麒中举，名声四扬，村名遂改为扬名水。[1]
人口民族[edit]
人口4315人，耕地2279亩。[1]
经济[edit]
辖区内的佛坛圩是历史悠久的牛圩，页面称其耕牛交易量居廉江全市之首；圩上的锅厂旧时所产铁锅销路好。农业结构调整后，村里种植了大量优质水果。2021年1月，名列「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」。[1]
