竹山村是吴川市覃巴镇的一个村委会，在吴川市区东南约10公里处，辖14条自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

竹山先后称大队（1979年至1983年）、乡（1983年至1987年）、管理区（1987年至1998年），1998年之后为村委会。[2]全村14条自然村都属革命老区，抗日战争和解放战争时期都出过力。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

全村有6500多人，旱田、水田共3000多亩，林地3000多亩，以农业为主，出产水果，特产有番薯、葱头、蒜头、西瓜。[1]覃吉公路经过村境，学校有竹山小学、安裔小学、那郎小学，以及覃巴安裔第三初级中学。[1]村里建有沼气池36个，把禽畜粪便变成清洁能源；14条自然村中13条修好了硬底化道路，10条被评为吴川市文明村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

竹山村以沙糖桔入选2020年8月公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，2019年9月又被列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[2]
