该村的行政建制自1958年的大队算起，经1983、1987、1989年几次调整，至1995年定为现称，此后未再改动。2019年10月名列2019年广东省卫生村名录；同年9月另被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
