木砖村位于高州市谢鸡镇，是镇辖行政村，与铺面村原属同一个大队。[1]
名称由来[edit]
据说村口原有一棵大菠萝木长成弯口，人们出入须从树下经过，把沃村叫作「木穿」，后来谐音成木砖。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
原与铺面同属一个大队，1961年分出，另设木砖大队；1983年起称木砖乡；木砖农村管理区一名始于1986年；1999年改由村民委员会管理，至今未变。[1]
2019年9月，该村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
