大坑村位于下渠镇辖区，北靠梅口乡，南邻大龙乡，西靠大金湖，距泰宁县城20公里。村庄位于一条较大的山垄之中，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，村域属崇礼乡大田里的仁寿保；民国初至1931年仍属仁寿保，归南乡管辖。1932年分属两个乡，归大湖区；1934年编入大湖联保，隶属三区；1936年改入西南联保，归一区。1940年改属仕坑保，归三区弋梅乡，1941年改由一区弋梅乡管辖，1943年归弋梅乡，1944年又属仁寿保，仍归弋梅乡。解放后，1951年设大坑乡，隶属三区；1956年隶属弋口区，1958年成立大队，隶属冲天公社，1960年归梅口公社，1971年划归下渠公社。1984年改为大坑村，2018年11月归属下渠镇[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村域山林面积约3.2万亩，其中一万余亩被列为国家级生态林，耕地4千余亩[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有始建于1314年的仁寿桥，被县列为二级保护；另有建于明代的丁氏祠堂[1]。

本村于2022年10月被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，认定单位是福建省农业农村厅；2024年7月，村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」[1]。
