坑口村位于谢洋乡东北部，属革命老区村，因村址处在两条坑沟的交汇处而得名。村域内的坑口水库，乡政府网站称其为县城区主要饮用水源地。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村子旧称大坵头。民国时归谢武乡管辖；新中国成立后划入大田第八区，之后隶属均溪区与武陵公社，1962年并入谢洋公社。[1]

1984年建乡，此村以谢洋乡坑口村的名义设立。1997年它与象山村、白玉村并为一村，2010年重新析出，单独设坑口村村民委员会。[1]

坑口水库[edit]

水库1984年开始兴建，1986年竣工，是国家「六五」计划的重点试验项目。防洪标准按五十年一遇设计，按五百年一遇校核。[2]

大坝高54.8米，坝顶宽5米，集雨面积84.5平方千米，库容2700万立方米。[2]

水库可调节下游电站的水量，建成后曾长期用于村民养鱼。2009年，县政府将其列为城区的饮用水水源。[2]

南大草原[edit]

南大草原在坑口水库边，距省道212线约3公里，位于象山游路上。[2]

草原中有一株千余年树龄的银杏，旁边还有一棵古樟。古银杏高30余米，胸围5.20米。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，坑口村先后被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
