大坑村在盖洋镇东部，离镇政府17公里，离明溪县城18公里[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自所在地势：村子坐落在低矮的缓坡上，周围群山环抱，像一个大山坳[1]。

1983年改设盖洋区大坑乡政府，1987年起称盖洋镇大坑村民委员会，至今沿用[1]。2024年7月，大坑村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」[1]。
