竹山村位于南阳乡东部，距乡政府约2.5千米，村名来自村民多在竹林山地定居的情形。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前此地为潮阳乡的潮阳保。建国后先后归二区与四区的南阳乡管辖，1958年属南阳公社南阳大队，1961年另设南阳公社竹山大队，1984年改设南阳乡竹山村村民委员会。[4]

荣誉[edit]

省农业农村厅在2022年10月将本村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
