历史沿革[edit]
这里原是海边的一道沙垄，清乾隆八年（1743年）起有少数人定居，以渔业和耕作为生。[1][3] 垄上曾有韩文公庙（今已不存），四周田园，盛产荖叶，出口到东南亚，因此叫仙垄、仙园，「垄」「陇」同音，也写作仙陇。村境内有一条自潮州通往福建的驿道，当地称西官路。[1][2]
1932年称仙垄乡，1950年与河美合为仁荣乡，1974年仁荣拆分，仙垄改称新陇。1998年设新陇村。[3] 新陇是樟林港「六社」之一。[4]
经济[edit]
村情介绍称，全村1342户、5051人，土地2551.90亩，耕地1202亩（经济数字为2009年）。水稻种植面积居全镇之首，林檎是主要的经济来源，连山园在内近千亩；私营企业和家庭作坊从事塑料、造纸、橡胶等行业。[2]
