地名与历史[edit]
村周围是田洋、靠近练江，俗称洋内，后分为洋新、洋老两村，洋老即洋内的老村。[1]1979年洋内大队拆分，洋老单独成大队，1983年起属洋新乡，1986年起改村委会，1992年改归洋新管理区，1999年又恢复村委会。[1]
经济与社会[edit]
耕地226亩，种水稻、甘薯，历史上做竹器。[1]改革开放后主要生产文胸内衣及配件辅料，建筑企业共2家，小作坊计180家；本村与洋新村在1993年共同办起「洋内学校」，村里有庆德庵，集体还建外来工宿舍出租。[1]
洋老村2019年9月列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
