历史沿革[edit]
这里明嘉靖年间（1522—1566年），普宁的陈姓人家来此开店，这一带当时叫「和畅乡」，渐渐被称作陈店。[1]明、清至民国初年属潮阳县洋乌都，1921年划入第九区。1950年归陈店镇，到1958年公社化，称陈店大队，1983年改称陈店乡，1986年起成立陈店居委会；1992年起称陈店管理区，1999年又恢复居委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济与社会[edit]
社区地处圩市，历来商贩多、手艺人多，居民有洪、肖、王、刘、陈等姓。[1]耕地392亩，以水稻为主；辖区内建筑企业共3家，小作坊计61家，主要做文胸内衣和电子电器，另有一千多个小档口经营电子器件、服装和日用品。[1]1993年建起粤东电子城，1999年盖了小学新校舍。[1]
博雅地名网记载，2022年8月，该社区被确定为广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
