柯围社区在陈店镇镇区两侧，324国道陈店路段穿过，村落由莆田柯氏后人在明正德三年（1508年）立寨，旧称柯厝围。^[1]下辖瓦窑自然村，面积1.14平方千米，763户、4312人。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德三年（1508年），柯永万从溪口下厝迁到这里建寨，他是福建莆田人柯裔武的后代；全村姓柯，故称“柯厝围”，后简称柯围。^[1]1950年隶属六禾四乡，到1958年公社化，称柯围大队，1983年起称柯围乡，1986年起改居委会，1992年起称管理区，1999年又恢复居委会。^[1]

耕地541亩，种水稻和甘薯；改革开放后以文胸内衣和家用电器的生产经营为主，建筑企业共7家，小作坊计96家，瓦窑设有综合市场，部分村民在珠江三角洲经商。^[1]1983年旅港乡亲柯荣成独资兴建柯文和纪念学校，2003年迁址新建，2007年又新建瓦窑小学。^[1]

2019年9月，柯围社区列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月获“2022年广东省卫生村”称号。^[1]
