地名与历史[edit]
村子靠近练江，地势低洼，周围都是田洋，俗称洋内；后来分成洋新、洋老两村。[1]1979年洋内大队拆分为洋老、洋新两个大队，1983年起属洋新乡，1986年起改村委会，1992年起称管理区，1999年又恢复村委会。[1]
经济与社会[edit]
耕地286亩，种水稻、甘薯，历史上有制竹器的工艺。[1]改革开放后主要生产文胸内衣，建筑企业共3家，小作坊计99家；本村与洋老村在1993年共同办起「洋内学校」，集体还建外来工公寓出租。[1]
洋新村2020年至2022年连续上榜淘宝村名单，2019年9月列入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
