东山村在企石镇西南部，距镇中心约1公里，东部快速干线、企桥路与东平大道都经过本村，离东莞站约8公里。[1]

村域总面积约6平方千米，全村分为21个村民小组，内有两个自然村；常住4220人，外来约9000人。2020年、2021年与2022年，东山村都入选了淘宝村名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄立于1425年。1951年设民主乡，所辖有上截、下截和东平。1955年春办低级社，1956年上半年改高级社，1957年并入大社，1958年9月组成人民公社。[1]

经济[edit]

村内有外资企业30家、民营企业61家，主要加工灯头、灯饰、五金、电子与家具。2006年工业总产值约6亿元。[1]

文化[edit]

村内的东山小学占地约2.9万平方米，校园绿化较好。[1]
