连塘村是广东省河源市东源县灯塔镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。东源县人民政府的现行区划表与博雅地名网的村页都写作“莲塘村”，两者同音。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

村名源于旧时村中一座大莲花塘，因“连”与“莲”同音而定为此名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为河源县灯塔镇的连塘大队，1971年归灯塔公社管辖，称连塘大队；1983年改称连塘乡，1987年改为连塘管理区，1999年县里批准设连塘村委会。[2]
