北乡村是迳口镇下辖的行政村，村名以村委会驻地在迳口北部的方位得来；1953年迳口政府成立时，居住偏北的小乡称北乡。[1] 村委会辖区面积8平方千米，耕地2500亩，其中水田有1300亩，下辖17个自然村，520户1914人（据博雅地名网所载村情，约2008年数据）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
北乡之名始于1953年，1958年改为大队，1983年为北乡人民政府，1987年设管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
人均收入约4800元、集体收入3.8万元（均为2008年）；主导产业为柑桔种植和禽畜、水产养殖，有养猪专业户40多户，生猪年出栏约1万头。[1]
