东方村是化州市长岐镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，分7个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]
1937至1949年属南岐乡。后来1953年2月属化县第一区石宁乡。后来1957年归同庆区南安乡。后来1963年8月起称石宁大队。1987年起为石宁村民委员会。后来1991年下半年石宁管理区分出东方管理区，1999年定名东方村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月榜上有名，列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」；2019年10月名列「2019年广东省卫生村」。[1]
