红光村是桥头镇的行政村之一，位于肇庆市怀集县，在桥头镇南面，是桥头通往肇庆的必经之路，距圩镇10公里，面积16平方千米，下有12个村民小组，居民3521人（该页未注明年份）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的意思是红色的光芒照耀四方。[1]
1960年代，联丰划给徐丰；群丰、蓝东、蓝西三地合成红光生产大队；1971年起称红光乡；1987年起称红光管理区；1998年改为红光村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
大部分村小组在大琴线公路旁，民居依山而建。山林多为土山，种有三华李、山楂、沙梨、糖梨和沙糖桔。红光村靠石斛进入首批省级“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单，时间是2020年8月。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，列入省民主法治示范村（社区）2018年度创建单位。[1]
