南山村在蓝塘镇，位于蓝塘圩南面，四周群山环绕，村名由方位而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

南山1958年为蓝塘公社南山大队；1961至1962年随石城公社，1963年公社撤销后重回蓝塘公社。1983年设南山乡，1987年称村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年撤区、设南山村委会，名称沿用。[1]

南山村是2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），也在「2019年广东省卫生村」名单内（2019年10月公布）。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年5月11日，南山村办了一场母亲节文艺晚会，现场村民千余人，节目有村民自编的健身舞和南山小学的合唱。镇里把伍子胥文化列为该村的文化资源。[2]
