上南山村是高州市曹江镇的一个行政村[1]。
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，该地在亡羊山以南，原称南山；因当时县内另有一处南山，1981年地名普查时加“上”字，改称上南山[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
土改期间属南山乡；1958年公社化时设上南山管理区；1961年体制下放时设南山大队，1980年地名普查后改称上南山大队；此后1983年改为乡、1986年改为农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）；2021年12月获评2021年广东省卫生村。[1]
