新寨村位于甲西镇中心，与甲子镇接壤，地势平坦，是一处靠近城区的村子。据百度百科，甲西镇人民政府驻地即在此村。村内四点梅山有南宋时期的卢东墓。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后，新寨、石西、华陇、西坛四个自然村合并，组成新寨大队，隶甲西公社。[1] 1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡；1994年改为管理区，归甲西镇；1999年又恢复村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名新寨村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

卢东墓在村内的四点梅山。墓主卢东（？—1279）原籍北方，南宋末任殿前司禁军昭武校尉，宋亡后病逝于甲地，乡人将其葬于此。墓为三合土夯筑，占地约1200平方米，墓道刻字可辨。[3]
