新青村是甲西镇西南端的行政村，地处海甲山麓，属革命老区，地形为丘陵，以农业和荔枝、菜瓜等产品为主。村的沿革始于1958年前后的新塘围与青林两村，1990年分出设管理区。新青村于2024年3月获命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国后，新塘围与青林两村连同新饶村，共同组成新饶大队，归第八区（两城区）。[1] 1990年，新塘围与青林自新饶村委会析出，合为新青管理区；1999年定为新青村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
新青村获命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」，时间为2024年3月。[1]
