衡山村位于甲西镇北部，沿甲港路，属丘陵地带，以农作物种植为主，并利用靠近鳌江河的条件发展鱼塘养殖。村的沿革可溯至建国初期，当时属惠来县东港乡。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初期，此地属惠来县东港乡。1959年改属陆丰县甲西公社，1975年转归甲子镇。[1] 1983年设衡山乡，隶甲西区；1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡。[1] 1994年改称管理区，1999年又恢复村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名衡山村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1]
