历史沿革[edit]
最初是1958年清塘公社的铁场下布大队，1985年成乡，1993年改管理区；清塘镇撤销的1994年划入城中街道，1998年管理区撤销，下布村民委员会成立[1]。村名取自其处在仓丰围内、地面宽阔而低洼的地势[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载村情称，全村有村民小组23个，人口3886人，耕地3063亩、山林9871亩，面积8.62平方千米；2008年的村级集体纯收入为303万元，农民人均6238元[1]。百度百科称村里经济以陶瓷工业和农业种养为主，有陶瓷厂7间、砖厂5间[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2005年，肇庆市委授予村党组织“先进基层党组织”称号；2006年，村获评全国敬老模范村[1]。2017年11月，下布村获第五届全国文明村镇称号；2021年12月获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2026年1月入选广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村[1]。
