中和村在水唇镇东南部，距镇政府约15公里，是全镇最偏远、最高寒的村，共6个自然村：梨树下、箭竹坑、坪水村、乌泥坑、白石村和中和田。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

中和大队成立于1962年，1968至1980年间曾同罗洞合并为中罗大队。此后政府（1984年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1990年）几经更名，1999年起称中和村民委员会。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

镇政府新介绍称面积8平方千米，292户1603人，常住950人；较早的介绍是255户1415人，耕地约550亩、山地约8100亩。[1][2]村里只有一条村道通外，过境公路未通。村民种了上千亩青梅，企业在山上植速生桉，村民另养牛、鸡、猪。[2][3]
