连城村在江门市鹤山市古劳镇东南部，西南与龙口镇相接，共7个自然村（天伦、水楼、中和、新岗、龙井及大、小江头）；村庄以天伦为中心环形排列，形似城墙相连，故名连城[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年设连城大队，1983年称连城乡，1986年称连城管理区，1998年起为连城村民委员会[1]。
人口民族[edit]
2009年全村2765人，吕、温、王、陈四姓居多。据村志所述，吕氏南宋咸淳二年（1266年）由南雄迁新会苦草尾（今鹤山），后一支居甫草堂；温氏原籍山西太原，约在1270至1362年间有祖先先居白石、后迁古劳，并曾在明初洪武元年修筑长乐围[1]。
经济[edit]
约700亩耕地、1000多亩鱼塘，传统作物为水稻和果蔗，养殖的水产有鲈鱼、桂花鱼等。1996年三连公路建成后，这一带成为镇的工业开发区，有化工、印刷、塑料、电器、五金等企业[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，连城村获评2021年度广东省卫生村；2026年1月，进入广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村名单[1]。
