石船村在水唇镇境内，与普宁市交界，是客家人聚居的山村，共4个自然村：三沛、庵下、石船和田心，陆普公路穿村而过。^[1]^[2]^[3]全县最高的观天嶂也在村境内。^[2]^[3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后石船属吉龙乡，1960年分出另立大队。到1986年改称石船村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年起称石船村民委员会，沿用至今。^[3]

镇政府新介绍称户籍人口为1500人，271户；较早的介绍是1560人、302户，常住1490人，面积3平方千米，离镇政府约7公里。^[1]^[2]村里以种青梅为主，这一带地势东高西低，两侧是高山。^[2]^[3]
