村党支部有党员55人。荣誉方面，2017年被开平市评为一村一法律顾问的先进集体，2019年为百合镇尊师重教先进单位，江门市基层党建示范村（2020年）、开平市先进基层党组织（2021年）等荣誉。[1]
近年建设[edit]
2022年，村里清拆危房，在保昌村小组建成「四小园」，并设立了人大宣传园地，供人大代表联系群众。[1]
