新地村是东涌镇西南的行政村，离汕尾市区4公里，汕可公路穿过村境。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

人民公社时期设新地大队，归东涌公社；1989年改为新地管理区；1999年成立新地村委会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村域面积约3平方千米，分八个村民小组，500多户、约3000人，集体留成土地约100多亩。多数村民外出就业，务工者约400多人。村里自筹约200万元修通环村水泥路，三条主要村道宽5米、共长4公里，巷道也全部铺了水泥。[2]

碧桂园的项目落在新地村的土地上，一期工程已交付使用。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月获评广东省卫生村。[1]
