民进村在品清湖南岸，依山临湖，是革命老区，隔湖与凤山妈祖一带相望。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初期属民安乡，东冲区管辖；人民公社时期合九个自然村成立民安大队，归东涌公社；1989年改设民进管理区；1999年成立民进村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村域6平方千米，耕地800亩，海水养殖面积4000亩，约1400人。黄竹坑、许厝、后沃、沙海四个自然村组成村委会，村民靠农业和养殖，所产鱼、虾、蟹销往各地。自然村自来水工程已完成。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2008年被城区授予“先进基层党支部”；2020年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
