1958年设平城大队，1983年改称平城乡，1985年成立村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年再称村委会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，平城村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
